The name “BLUE NOTE” derives from the prestigious jazz label of the same name—Blue Note Records.
Despite the label’s prestige, it was in fact started by one young man who had neither the knowhow
nor the assets for running a label. What he did have however, was passion.
In the 1940’s, when racial discrimination still had a firm grip on the nation, he invited the musicians of the time into his recording studio, welcoming them with delectable drinks and food, regardless of race.
It was this generous hospitality that would later lead to the birth of countless masterpiece records.
It is our hope and pleasure to create a masterpiece of a memory for each and every guest that comes in our doors, with the best brinks, the best music and the best hospitality we can provide.
Come into BLUE NOTE any given night and you might find...
A man drinking quietly by himself at the bar,
A couple at the other end talking shoulder to shoulder,
A group of 3 or 4 sitting at a table,
A dozen coworkers cheerfully enjoying after-work drinks on the long sofa...
All here, all enjoying their own time, in their own way.
We accommodate rental parties starting from groups of 30 all the way up to 100, depending on the plan.
With 58 seats in total (46 table/12 counter), our seating space is sufficient for a variety of occasions.
Forget the world’s worries in our vintage and calm urban atmosphere,
while enjoying our vast line up of alcoholic beverages,
a select dish to match it, and of course, good music.
We also hold regular parties featuring acclaimed musicians active in the Japan’s live music scene,
as well as artists from overseas during their tour of the country.
What could go better with your drink than a performance so close you could practically reach out and touch?
Top off your or your special someone’s day with the perfect night out.
